Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Mt. Airy Vision Center the leading provider of vision care products and services in Mt. Airy.

Chris Owens, O.D.

Optometric Physician

Dr. Owens completed his degree at Memphis State University then graduated from Southern College of Optometry, receiving the highest honor of Senior Clinician of the Year Award. After finishing his internships at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans and Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, Georgia, he joined Carolina Center for Eye Care in 2004. He is the immediate past-president of the Winston-Salem Optometric Society and a current member of the American Optometric Association. A member of the Hillsdale Rotary, his community outreach includes Lions Club, Storehouse for Jesus, and Special Olympics. His special interests are pediatric eye exams, amblyopia, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma management, and surgical consultations. Dr. Owens speaks conversational Spanish.

Andrew Bradbury, O.D.

Optometric Physician

Dr. Bradbury, a native of Memphis, TN, graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science, he returned to Memphis for postgraduate study at the Southern College of Optometry.

While pursuing his optometric education, Dr. Bradbury served as president of his class and was involved in multiple international mission trips through SVOSH (Student Volunteer Optometrists Serving Humanity). Upon graduating, he was awarded the Winston Family Endowment Award, representing the student in his class “most likely to pursue private practice optometry.”

Dr. Bradbury graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 2014 and joined Carolina Center for Eye Care shortly thereafter. He has a special interest in pediatric eye exams, ocular disease, specifically glaucoma management and dry eye disease, as well as nutrition, disease prevention and wellness.

When not caring for his patients, Dr. Bradbury enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, running and golf, as well as photography. He is an active member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Winston-Salem.
